I wrote an article where I shared how to delete local branches which references remote branches that have been merged and deleted. Do check it out.

Happy new week : )

Trust you had a great weekend? I’m sorry I didn’t send a piece last week. I didn’t have enough to share.

Here’s what I have for you this week

What I did last week(s) 😇

  1. I published Things I did after arriving in Netherlands, and House Hunting. In this video, I shared the things I had to do after arriving in the Netherlands, and how I secured an apartment.
  2. I updated this article: Delete outdated local branches with the prune git option and the branch delete command. Previously, it wasn’t clearly detailed but I’ve added more effective information. In the article, I explained how you can automate the process of deleting outdated local branches, which are branches where the remote references have been merged and deleted.
  3. I also wrote two articles for two organizations that will be published later today/this week. I’ll plug them into my next letter.

Also (as shared in my previous letter), I recently launched Simplified Technical Writing where share most (if not all) of my experience in Technical writing. In it, I share how to get started, how to get topics, writing jobs you can apply for and so much more.

Featured Videos 📹

From videos I watched this week:

  1. Codebase Search In VSCode with Sourcegraph: Learn how to use Sourcegraph to search code sin VSCode.
  2. How I got into Tech and my Career journey so far. In this video, I shared my experience, struggles/mistakes and lessons to learn from my Tech journey.
  3. How I got my first Full-time Software Developer Job: In this video, I share how I got my first job with less than 2 years experience

If you’d like to talk about Tech (writing or software engineering) or have questions, you can schedule a meeting with me in my Calendly profile. Looking forward to meeting you.

As a content creator, I love simplifying diverse topics in web development that I understand. Do you have any issues, tools, or frameworks that you’d like to understand better? Do let me know, and I may come up with an article or video on it.

A new week, another opportunity to do amazing things! So go do amazing things 🚀.

Do have a splendid week 🌟
